World Travel Is A Treatment For Six Disabled Travellers

Stop right there, travellers! If you haven’t read our prior blog posts of  ‘Travello’s Featured Travel Bloggers To Follow This Year Series” you should do so now. Trust me; you don’t want to miss out on the fantastic bloggers, vloggers, photographers, and Travello users we’ve already featured. On our first week, you’ll find travel inspiration through the stories and adventures of some fantastic Travel Bloggers and Vloggers, while the second feature seeks to inspire females of all ages and backgrounds to explore the world with eager eyes and an open heart.

Now that you’re caught up with the latest, just a quick reminder that we do have a running YouTube playlist of our featured travellers. On this playlist, each traveller created a personal introductory video with travel tips attached. So be sure to watch until the end so you don’t miss out.

Alright, let’s get rolling because no one reads long intros anyway.

In our third series, we suggest you buckle up before jumping into this list of travellers because their stories may knock you out of your seat. For these globetrotters, travelling isn’t just an urge to experience life, it’s about inspiring others to travel as well. Each person in this list has an incredible story to tell about defying limitations society created.  Through their individual challenges, we see that life isn’t about the adversaries, but rather it’s about what we do with those challenges that count.

If you have been following the adventures our winners Tom & Natalie from our Ultimate Aussie Adventure competition, you will see a whole heap of adventure activities they have been up to so far in Australia. You can read their weekly updates here: Week 1 & Week 2

However, as the featured travellers below outline, just because you have a disability, it doesn’t mean that you can’t still enjoy many of the same adventures that Tom & Natalie are experiencing right now too!

So we present you with six solo travellers who are leaving their marks on the world by sharing their travelling stories and who are inspiring, passionate, and have an infectious wanderlust.

Check out Elly’s video entry to our Ultimate Aussie Adventure competition. She made the final 10!

Surpassing Fear Through Travel

Lauren's outstanding bravery has pushed her out of the anxiety hole and into the whimsical world of travelling. Although Lauren previously suffered from anxiety, she surpassed her fears by going to college out-of-state which set the ball rolling for her new destiny of travel. We find Lauren so encouraging through her determination and ambition in travelling. To be able to get out of your comfort zone and change your life isn't something to take lightly and we think that's pretty amazing. You can find her shared stories regarding anxiety and various travel topics on her site Lauren Without Fear.

Chronically Beating Illness

German digital nomad, writer, and vlogger, Denise, seems to do it all whilst maintaining a chronic illness. Her ability to juggle work, hobbies, the travelling aspects of her life are incredible enough without the additional upkeep of her health. Regardless, Denise loves to travel and share her stories with anyone who will listen. Denise gives the perfect dose of positivity needed to start your day. Travelous Mind focuses on several topics including travel advice, recent trips, and in-depth reflections. Her wish is to inspire others to travel, no matter the adversity life throws their way.

Seeing The World Through New Eyes

Travelling from a young age, Dan started to see his family in Europe and continued to plan trips as he became older. He always possessed a passion to see the world, even when life threw him a curve ball. Now legally blind, he continues to travel and record his travels on Three Points of Contact. His story is incredible but what we really fancy is Dan's ability to overcome the drastic change in his life through feeding his wanderlust. His blog and channel demonstrate to viewers that when life throws you lemons, you really can make lemonade.

Hear Destination's Calling

Calvin made us absolutely mind blown with his recorded adventures. His visual shots and content are impacting enough but he topped it all off with silent audio that reflects his perspective of seeing the world as a deaf traveller. Additionally, Calvin's story is unbelievable. He started his own company and after moving to a new company, he decided to quit the life he'd known to travel the world. Since quitting, Calvin has successfully created a platform that inspires travellers around the world. Calvin intends to positively impact all viewers that watch his videos but he also focuses on the deaf community. He hopes to make them realize they are limitless and that the only restriction to travelling--or anything in life for that matter--is themselves.

Finding Mountains To Climb

As a travel influencer, Mike doesn't let arthrogryposis get in the way of seeing the world. Leading up to his influencer and travel lifestyle, he always believed that he could do whatever he set his mind to. He always had the itch to experience new activities and see new places. His desire to experience what he hasn't seen before and his unsettled nature led him to travel the world with his crutches and no limitations; he's explored North America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania with both his crutches. His goal is to inspire other travellers to follow their wanderlust because limitations don’t apply when seeking one’s dream.

Wheel Never Stop Travelling

Wheeling around the world and inspiring so many other travellers I present to you Cory Lee. His adventure seeking soul loves sharing his travel stories from a positive wheelchair perspective. At 15, Cory Lee travelled internationally for the first time and that finalized his destined path of travelling the world. As he travelled more, he created his blog, Curb Free with Cory Lee to inspire and show other disabled travellers the who, why, where, when, and how of disabled travelling. We adore Cory Lee because ultimately he wants to continue inspiring other wanderlust seekers through his own travels.

Welcome to Travello’s Featured Travel Bloggers To Follow This Year Series!

Our second addition to our travel blogger series has arrived! For this sequel, we decided to introduce some phenomenal female travel bloggers, vloggers, and photographers who we recommend you follow to ignite that travel spark. As promised, our lists don’t include famed travel social influencers alone; instead, we’ve compiled a combination of very popular influencers and others that are just in the beginning stages.

Before diving into today’s series, if you missed our debut article, we recommend you check it out and see our travel blogger/vlogger/photographer picklist for the first week.

If you are a travel blogger, vlogger, photographer or influencer that would like to be featured in our next series, please apply here.

“Being a female and not having a travel companion shouldn’t stop anyone from taking a plane to an unknown place. It’s a reason to explore the world with eager eyes and an open heart”.

Some people might have the idea that solo female travellers are few, rare and brave, however, if you go to any search engine, social media platform, or image collection database and type the word ‘solo traveller’, the search will result in a massive list of both male and female travellers. There are also countless Facebook groups specifically for females travelling solo with thousands of members, pictures of women that fill pages on stock image sites, and hundreds of articles popping up from avid female solo travel bloggers. Case in point, it is not rare anymore for females to travel alone.

Even though we agree with the idea that women travelling solo are brave, we don’t think it is because the world is something to fear due to gender, we see them as brave for their ability to acknowledge and pursue their passion. In the end, travelling comes down to an individual’s desire to visit new cultures and experience the world for what it has to offer; and gender doesn’t play a role when we admire the cultures of the world. Females are just like any other travellers; they pick a destination, wander, explore, and experience the culture of that destination the same way.

The women on this list have a purpose tied in with their passion. They are trying to find their uniqueness in their individual desire for travelling, chasing adventure and fulfilling their dreams. Some of them make a point to make connections with the people during their trip, while other bloggers choose to look at the sustainability of travel and educate others on its importance. No matter the focus of impact, these women have us inspired to follow our dreams. They show that limits don’t exist and if we want to make our mark on the world while travelling, we can.

So sit on the edge of your seat and get ready to be blown away by these adventurous female solo travellers.

We often wonder how to experience life without being caught up in our careers, tasks, and daily checklists.
Lisa is a woman who finds solace in adventure proving to others that societal norms can be overcome. It's her personal mission to encourage and inspire those around her with original artistic works. In her blog, she emphasizes photography and documents her personal adventures.

Welcome to Travello’s Featured Travel Bloggers To Follow This Year Series!

Each week we’ll be featuring a handful of travel bloggers, vloggers or photographers who we recommend you follow to ignite that travel spark! Over the coming weeks you’ll also be introduced to many of them with a personal video introduction and message from themselves on our new Travello Travel Blogger Video Series on YouTube. The weekly list is not going to be a list of the very top or most followed travel bloggers, vloggers, photographers or social influencers, it will be a combination, some very popular ones, but also some that are just starting out, in fact we’ll also be featuring some of our top Travello users in here too, many of which dont have official blogs but are really active travel posters on Travello.

Today, almost everyone has a friend or a friend of a friend that considers themselves to be a travel blogger or travel social influencer right? You may even look upon them with a hint of jealously (or a lot!), but hey, whats not to be jealous off. Who wouldn’t want to be travelling the world and earning an income while you do it.

We are not telling you to throw in the towel and quit your day job to become a travel blogger too, all we want to do through this series is to inspire you to see the world through their stories and adventures and to encourage you to also immerse yourself in your next destination, to really “see it” not just visit it. This is what travel bloggers do, they get under the skin of a place, they go beyond their comfort zones, they approach strangers, they explore it to share that experience with others.

We previously posted a series about the life of a travel blogger to give you some insights into their travels and why they travel, however these weekly lists are just to introduce you to their little world of travel. Above all, travel is not about having richness of money to see the world, its all down to your perspective and gratitude for the life you live and respect for people in the place you visit. In fact, some of Travello’s most energetic and enthusiastic users on Travello have barely had the financial means to travel beyond their own country so far, yet the passion and gratitude they have for their own country is immense, they are excited to share posts from their own travels in their home country, as meeting new friends and travellers from around the world brings them joy.

Travello actually provides that perfect platform for both every day travellers on their next travel adventures as well as for travel bloggers too. As a travel blogger, Travello provides the perfect platform to post about your travel adventures to a 100% travel audience, an audience that are on Travello to get a dose of  travel inspiration! It also enables you to connect with other travellers and locals nearby. So we encourage all travel bloggers to create a profile and start sharing your blog post links as well as of course your travel photos and videos as well!

If you are a travel blogger, vlogger, photographer or influencer please get your submission in on this form here

So without further ado, here is this weeks little list of travel inspiration! Have you got that bag packed and ready?
